The bliss of a falling rain…Pt 1

In our frenzied world, we hardly stop to smell the roses, much less notice that rain is anything other than an obstacle to getting around, staying dry and in some cases, sun drying our possessions.

I invite to you to stop for a minute when next it rains, sit by the window and look at the drops chase themselves to the ground. Listen for the Pitter patter, the mournful howl of the wind, the loud crack of thunder or the roar of the storm. Inhale deeply for it’s scent. Feel the cold air and strong gusts of wind. In that moment just be…be…a human being. Let the “to do” lists, the appointments, the Slack and Whatsapp messages, fade into insignificance and… just… be. Open the window, stick out your tongue and taste a drop if you dare. Engage all of your senses and interact fully with the weather. Let yourself be enchanted and seduced by its purity.

When next it rains, promise me you’ll stop again and just be.

Let me know how it goes…

Love,

Brownie
